GENERALIZATION OR INFERENCE – WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Inferencing: Is when you use clues in a story to draw a conclusion.

Generalization: Is a broad statement about what a group of people or things have in common. Generalizations can be either valid, supported by facts or invalid, not supported by facts and that can be disproven.
